Individually Tube Packaged Bar Compounds

Eleven (11) grades of bar compounds available for buffing a range of products. 

All grades come in 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” x 7” molded bar form and are packaged in individual cardboard fiber tubes to prevent breakage. Each tube is clearly labeled, with the grade of compound and complete instructions for use.

TRIPOLI BUFFING WHEEL COMPOUNDS

For Copper, Brass, Bronze, Aluminum, Zinc Die Castings, White Metals & Non-Ferrous Alloys.

Product # 515-100 is a medium dry, double-duty, cut/color grade. An excellent compound for buffing a wide range of non-ferrous metals.

Product # 515-101 is a dry, fine coloring grade intended for light-duty buffing on small work pieces.

ALUMINUM BUFFING WHEEL COMPOUNDS

Product No. 515-103 is an excellent double-duty grade developed specifically for cutting down and color buffing aluminum. Buffs out easily to a bright luster finish without packing compound into small crevices and recessed areas.

Product No. 515-104 is a very dry, high coloring compound. Works well on aluminum or brass.

STEEL BUFFING WHEEL COMPOUNDS  

For Stainless, Carbon Steel, Cold-Rolled Steel Parts, Drawn Stampings, Hard Steel Alloys & Castings.

Product No. 515-105 is a double-duty cut/color grade for buffing out stretched metal strains, die marks, spinning lines, nicks, scratches and weld blemishes. An excellent all-purpose grade.

Product No. 515-106 is a dry working grade that combines fine alumina blended with green chromium oxide for producing a bright, lustrous buffed surface.

SISAL/CLOTH BUFFING WHEEL COMPOUNDS   

Product No. 515-107 is formulated with sharp cutting, aluminum oxide abrasives, in a matrix of tacky grease binders. Developed especially for applying to sisal/cloth buffing wheels.

PLASTIC BUFFING WHEEL COMPOUNDS  

Cut Down Grade Product No. 515-108 is a cutting down grade compound intended for buffing hard plastics, such as Polycarbonates, epoxies, melamine, tenite, bakelite, butyrates, phenolics and hard rubber.

Coloring Grade Product No. 515-109 is a dry working, high-lustering grade formulated with an extremely fine abrasive particle. Recommended when buffing acrylates, lucite, plexi-glass, clear-coat urethane or enamel paints.

ROUGE BUFFING COMPOUNDS  

Rouges were originally developed for the jewelry trade to color buff metals such as gold, platinum and other precious soft alloys.

Because rouges are formulated using very fine, particle-size abrasives and binders of high melting-point greases, they are now used extensively in other trades for color buffing whenever a dry working, luster buffing operation is desired without leaving a smutty surface. 

MARINE BLUE ROUGE  

Product No. 515-111 is a modern development that has proven superior by serving as a true general purpose rouge. This is our most popular grade for high-luster color buffing stainless steel, aluminum, brass, wood, clear lacquered surfaces and plastics including acrylics. Also used to remove water stains and frosted plating burn marks. 

GREEN CHROME OXIDE ROUGE 

Product No. 515-113 is a dry working compound made with green chromium oxide powder. This old-time favorite rouge is used in the finishing trade for cut/color operations on all classes of metals. Also used extensively for buffing tools, die parts, plug gage punches and to remove “metal fuzz” following grinding operations, without disturbing the essential dimensions of the work piece.

6-Bar SAMPLER KIT

Product No. 515-110 sampler kit allows the user to have a variety of compounds handy to test on metals and plastics and select the ideal product for a particular use. Each compound is individually labeled, bearing the product number, product description and its recommended use. This facilitates reorder of individual compounds.
